Who are we?

Double H (Happy Hoosiers) is the largest and longest continuous dancing square dance club in the Kentuckiana area (Louisville, Ky and Southern Indiana).  We were established out of a Sunday School class in 1956.

Our members have taken various levels of lessons over the years and continue to dance for fun, exercise, social activities and everlasting friendships.  We begin with Mainstream, followed by Plus and more.  We also do Round Dancing and Line Dancing at our dances.  It’s “friendship set to music”.

Notice the looks on our faces while we dance.  There is laughter, fun etc. Square dancing has evolved from the strictly Country and Western style dress, music etc.  We are now more casual in our dress and dance to all kinds of music (Rock and Roll, Gospel, Blue Grass and of course Country and Western). Our Caller(s) and Cuer(s) genuinely enjoy what they do and it shows with how they call our dances and interact with the dancers. Some dancers can no longer dance due to health issues but they still come for the fun of it and to visit with their friends.
